BIO/Affiliations/Education
Richard “Rick” Davis II, MD is a fellowship trained and board-certified orthopedic surgeon in the Greater Cincinnati and Dayton areas. He specializes is primary, or first time, hip and knee replacement as well as complex, revision hip and knee replacement. He has special interest in the newest techniques and technology, including outpatient joint replacement and robotic-assisted surgery.
Dr. Davis completed a fellowship in adult total joint reconstruction at Southern Joint Replacement Institute in Nashville, TN. During this additional year of training, he greatly benefited from the combined knowledge and learning of advanced surgical techniques from prominent and world-renowned joint replacement surgeons.
After growing up in Middletown, OH, he attended The Ohio State University for undergraduate. He received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Mount Carmel Health in Columbus, OH.
Dr. Davis has been in practice since 2017 and after rigorous evaluation, was board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery in July of 2019. He is a current member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery (AAOS) as well as the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS).
On a more personal note, Dr. Davis and his wife reside in the Mason area. They have been married for 18 years and are blessed with four girls. His family enjoys playing outdoors and swimming in the pool. Throughout the year you can find them running between volleyball games, dance practices and the girl’s school. Dr. Davis and his family are deeply involved in the local church and have enjoyed doing medical missions work in Mexico, Ecuador and Tanzania.
